Knitting unit

Our knitting unit has an array of the latest, computer controlled knitting machines from reputed international brands. There are knit interlocks, ribs and jerseys in any pattern or structure as needed. Total floor area in knitting is about 14,000 sq ft with a capacity of 5 tons per day. There are 8 flat knitting machines that can knit jacquards, plain, stripes and self-designs with a capacity of 8500 pieces per day.

The total floor area for the dyeing unit is about 8500 sq ft. Besides machine set- up space, there is space for batch preparation, wet fabric storage. LAB SECTION

The laboratory and office space has been set-up in between the dyeing and finishing unit at first floor level. It has been constructed to see through provision so that the activities in the dyeing and finishing unit can be observed entirely from that space. This space is fully covered under the AC system to ensure a smooth and comfortable working environment.

Stenter Machine

The stenter machines used for stretching fabrics. The purpose of the stenter machine is to bring the length and width to predetermined dimensions and also for heat setting and it is used for applying finishing chemicals and also shade variation is adjusted. The main function of the stenter is to stretch the fabric width wise and to recover the uniform width.

Functions of Stenter Machines

Heat settingis done by the stenter forlycra fabric, synthetic and blended fabric.

Width of the fabric is controlled by the stenter.

Finishing chemicals apply on fabric by the stenter.

Loop of the knit fabric is controlled.

Moisture of the fabric is controlled by the stenter.

Spatiality controlled by the stenter.

GSM of the fabricis controlled by stenter.

Fabric is dried by thestentering process.

Shrinkageproperty of the fabric is controlled.

Curing treatment for resin, water repellent fabric is done by the stenter.

Addressable Fire Alarm System

AVL has introduced an addressable fire alarm system which can readily identify detector location and each detector has a unique address. (Loop & Sensor number & descriptive location address)

Evacuation Plan

Each floor has an evacuation plan for emergency evacuation in case of fire.

Stair

There are two wide (8.5 feet) stairs for emergency evacuation.

Industrial Exhaust fan

Each floor is equipped with an adequate exhaust fan.

Wash room & Toilets

There is 1 toilet for each 25 workers.

Emergency Exit Signs

Emergency Exit signs are marked for emergency evacuation.

Medical Centre

There is a medical centre in AVL for the workers with a trained team of 3 experienced doctors and 2 paramedics.

Drinking Water

On every floor we have the arrangement of pure drinking water facility for workers and employees.

Emergency Telephone

Lists of emergency telephone no. such as fire brigade, hospitals & Police Stations are hanging on the wall of every floor for emergencies.

Fire Extinguisher

We have 500 DCP & 210CO₂which is an active fire protective device. Fire extinguishers are allocated on every floor through a systematic manner.

Fire Drill

Weekly fire drills are initiated in our company to make the workers efficient fire fighters. We have 45 Fire hoses which carry water or other retardant.

Emergency Light

AVL has ensured adequate emergency light to use in case of power failure.

Working environment

Adequate ventilation & electric light is provided in the working places.
